A group of penguins on land is called a waddle but a group of penguins in water are called a raft.
South African penguins! We have some in our local zoo here in Rochester NY but I was fortunate to see them in their natural habitat in South Africa a couple of years ago. A group of penguins on land is called a waddle but when there is a group of penguins in the water they are called a raft. This painting was created from two or three different photo references I gathered so that I could vary the positions of the penguins. It makes you wonder what they might be discussing.
