When the pandemic hit and people felt the stress of shortages, many decided to start gardens and save food for emergencies. I decided to paint a series of watercolors depicting those efforts. I love the nostalgic old mason jars and the color of the prepared food beneath the shiny surface, all ready for that 'rainy day'.
