Fawn and Doe

$2,350.00

15” x 30”

On a slightly overcast Montana Summer day we saw these deer feeding in a swale beside a dirt road. The Doe was intent on feeding while the Fawn seems to be on alert as I observed them from about 50 yards away. They must have liked what was on the menu because they stayed and grazed for a long time. In Montana I usually see more Mule Deer, but on that day the Whitetails were out. During the day we saw lots more deer in the area. We were actually traveling to view the Bison, of which there are hundreds at this location. They were well out of their usual haunts when we were there. So I had to settle for the Whitetails, which was very OK with me! Oil on canvas panel.
