Red Book, Spoon, Tea

$475.00

10” x 10” x 2”

Original oil painting on deep profile wrapped canvas. I handcrafted the wood float-style frame using reclaimed oak slats used in Finger Lakes red wine production. This painting captures a tranquil moment of simplicity and warmth. A steaming cup of tea in a vintage black-and-white enamel mug rests atop a well-worn red book, while a reflective spoon lies nearby. When there is more than one item in my still life paintings, I will often choose them by ensuring that the first letter of each is consecutive in the alphabet. For this painting, Red book, Spoon, Tea the consecutive letters are R, S, and T.
