Andrea Nadel
Andrea Nadel has loved drawing and painting since childhood. She received her J.D. from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and practiced law before moving to a legal publishing career in Rochester, NY. After retirement, Andrea’s desire to create art became a focal point in her life. She initially worked on her own, but to reach the level of proficiency she sought, she embarked on an intensive skill-based instruction. Andrea is a member of Main Street Artists, Penfield Art Association, and Signature Member of the Rochester Art Club. Her work is on exhibit at Railroad Street Artworks in Fairport, NY as well as Pittsford Fine Art in Pittsford, NY. She also has been featured in “Life in the Finger Lakes” May/ June 2025 issue.
In choosing a subject to paint, Andrea is drawn to images that speak to her on an emotional level. Whether it be a landscape, portrait, or still life, the image must have that appealing quality. Such images often have strong color and value. Though many of her works fall into the category of realism, she is also drawn to abstract art for the freedom that offers. Her main goal as an artist and in life is to bring joy to others.
